Description

The purpose of this blog is to chronicle the adventures in rock climbing, mountaineering, rattlesnake rescue, and general crazy endeavors undertaken by a nuclear engineer living in Los Alamos, NM. The first few posts will likely be me playing catch up writing down some trip reports from a few adventures that happened this summer, but after I should be able to get things up pretty soon after they happen.

Quandary Peak, West Ridge videos!

Last weekend my friend Ryan Fonger and I did the Lincoln group on Saturday followed by the West Ridge route up Quandary Peak on Sunday. This post is basically going to have the raw GoPro footage from when we got onto the west ridge of Quandary. I'm currently working on putting together an edited version but here is this for now:

Starting out on the West Ridge, after ascending to the saddle.

Lots and Lots of Traversing, plus a nice long break.

More traversing and some scrambling.

Climbing gets harder. Lots of exposure.

Final stretch to the summit. But wait! There's a goat in the way!
